Executive Advisory Scope

Retained Sponsor Advisory reserves a defined amount of Phil’s time for an agreed sponsor or leadership group. It can follow an audit, recovery, or preparation project, or support an established executive relationship.

The mandate identifies the portfolio or engagements, current decisions, cadence, access, written outputs, response arrangements, and limits. It does not imply continuous coverage or independent assurance across an entire estate.

Retained Advisory Work

  • Decision preparationChallenge options, evidence, assumptions, dependencies, and the consequences of a proposed commitment.
  • Progress and residual issuesReview operating evidence, open actions, material delays, and decisions requiring escalation.
  • Governance and reporting challengeExamine whether the sponsor’s information is sufficient to oversee the agreed work and recognize emerging concerns.
  • Continuity of judgmentRetain context after a project while permanent institutional owners carry their responsibilities.

Capacity, Access, and Responsibilities

The private agreement defines reserved time, named contacts, meeting cadence, response hours, written work, use of unused capacity, additional scope, and duration. Travel, specialist work, detailed projects, and crisis mobilization are addressed explicitly rather than treated as unlimited entitlements.

Where Phil has led management corrections, retained advice is not described as independent assurance of that work. A separate qualified party verifies material closure.
