The report was prepared with assistance from Claude, an Anthropic AI system, for analysis, qualitative coding, organization, and drafting. OpenAI Codex assisted with the version 17 editorial revision, including review of prose, internal consistency, and supporting analytical records. These systems contributed to the preparation of the report; their outputs are not independent evidence validating its findings.

The statistical workflow used a computational program and recorded input fingerprints and analytical settings. Companion analyses incorporated figures programmatically. The author determined substantive conventions through documented rulings, some of which revised earlier decisions. Independent reproduction of the complete computational workflow has not been established.

Claude-based coders applied the documented qualitative rulebook. Separate AI runs recoded samples without access to the first coding, and an author-ruled set of 48 difficult answers supplied an additional check. Appendix D reports the agreement results and subsequent rulebook changes. These procedures should not be described as independent human validation of every coded answer.

AI systems assisted with drafting and editorial revision under the author’s standards. The author retains responsibility for reviewing and approving the final wording, interpretations, and recommendations. Inserted respondent quotations were preserved during the version 17 editorial revision.

Responsibility for the study’s design, analytical decisions, interpretations, and publication rests with the author. AI assistance does not remove the need to verify factual claims, assess methodological limitations, or distinguish recommendations from findings.
